US
We had the desire to experience nature in the wild in an unspoiled setting, away from typical urban space and time, a passion for the landscape of Irpinia, and the ambition to create a great wine that is an expression of its territory of origin.
This prompted me and my husband Erminio to tenaciously transform a dream into a real-life journey and led to our company in Paternopoli.

A LAND, A VINEYARD, A WINE
The wine originates in Paternopoli, a small village dating back to pre-Roman times. This lies on the rolling green hills of the southern Appennines some 500 meters above sea level, within the “Taurasi” DOCG area.
The calcareous clay soil, the wide variations between day and night, the hills covered with ancient vines and new plants, and the perfect balance between climate, soil and vines represent the ideal scenario for our vineyards.
The vineyards are between 450 and 530 meters above sea level and with some of the plants of over 70 years. These are the main pieces of a mosaic company that prefers quality over quantity in its environment.
Careful management in the field, with severe winter pruning, trimming, leaf removal and thinning, results in healthy and ripe purple grapes, ready to be harvested between late October and early November.
The magic of the harvest, carried out by hand and selecting only the best grapes, brings the soul of our wine to the cellar.
OUR WINES
χορός [-οῦ, ὁ] dance in chorus, melody
Like a single character in Greek tragedy, the Bacchantes Chorus sings and dances in unison.
Thus the aromas and flavors dance together to the melody of the Fiano di Avellino.

“ION” like purple, from the ancient Greek “ἴον”, recalls the colour and flavour of the wine in its name and reflects the symbiosis between the wonder of nature and man’s expert, knowledgeable work.
It is a “Campi Taurasini DOC” a sub-area of Irpinia DOC, and is obtained from Aglianico grapes, which express the sincere flavours and uniqueness of its territory of origin.
It is a ruby wine with purple hues; having complex aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries.
The taste is fresh, smooth with a lingering finish.
After 12 months of ageing, it is ready, enjoyable but still able, however, to mature in the bottle for a long time.
